It's amazing how dark were the people in the Middle Ages.
They believed that the wine has a weight (hence the term "burden of guilt").
Here is a local story that happened in a remote German province in the 16th century.
In the Inquisition did a denunciation from the local boozer that he allegedly saw the night over the field, a certain woman, flew to an unknown animal.
Suspicion fell on Susanna, but unexpectedly, the court is her friend Jeanne and tries to take the blame, but her arguments ring hollow.
